INSUL-MATE™ Galvanized Steel DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS RPR Products Insul-Mate™ Galvanized Steel Roll Jacketing is manufactured from continuous hot-dipped G90 zinc coated steel, per ASTM A-653, and, compared with aluminum, galvanized steel has superior physical properties. It is stronger, providing more abuse resistance. Possessing a higher melting temperature, it provides greater fire protection. Having excellent corrosion resistance, it can be used where environmental conditions permit the long term use of galvanized steel. The coated steel meets ASTM A-653 . Thicknesses: .016” (.4mm), .020” (.5mm), .024” (.6mm), .032” (.8mm), .040” (1.0mm), .050” (1.2mm) Widths: Flat Sheets - 36” (914mm) and 48” (1219) For Profiled sheets see Industrial Jacketing Data Sheet for sizes Lengths: Flat Sheets (cut to length) Profiles cut to specific length lengths Profiles: See Industrial Jacketing Data Sheet (4” Box Rib, 2.67” & 1 1/4” Corrugated) (Note: on 4 x 1 Box Rib, in .020 Stucco Embossed Only) APPLICATIONS The primary use of Insul-Mate™ Galvanized Sheet and Jacketing is for environments such as the pulp, paper, textile, refinery and petrochemical applications. MOISTURE RETARDER Insul-Mate™ Galvanized can be supplied with a 3 mil polysurlyn moisture retarder which is heat and pressure bonded to the interior surface. A moisture retarder helps prevent galvanic corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals in the presence of moisture or chemical corrosion caused by installing sheets over damp insulation materials.
