INSUL-MATE™ Painted Sheet & Jacketing DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS
POLYESTERS RPR Products Polyester Painted Sheet and Jacketing provide a cost effective protection in exterior applications. Bare aluminum is first physically and chemically cleaned, primer (conversion) coated, and finally top coated with a proprietary composite polyester resin paint which has excellent resistance to U.V. degradation to prevent chalking and fading in severe environments. The special stain resistant resin also improves scratch and metal marking resistance. The coating is durable but flexible enough to be embossed and easily take a 1-T bend when forming. Stocked in standard colors (see color chart for select colors). Non standard colors are available, but subject to minimum quantity requirements. The bare aluminum alloy 3105, T304 stainless steel, and T316 stainless steel meet ASTM B209 and ASTM A240. ACRYLICS RPR Products Acrylic Painted Sheet and Jacketing: The bare aluminum is first physically and chemically cleaned, primer (conversion) coated, and finally top coated with a thermo set acrylic paint which has excellent stain abrasion and mar resistance. This paint system is available in three standard colors (see color chart for select colors). Non standard colors are available, but subject to minimum quantity requirements. The bare aluminum alloy 3105, T304 stainless steel, and T316 stainless steel meet ASTM B209 and ASTM A240. THICKNESS .016”, .020”, .024”, .032” Rolls and flat sheets - 36” wide; 1-1/4” and 2-1/2” deep Corrugated sheets - 33” wide FINISHES Painted Sheet and Jacketing are available in several finishes which include smooth, stucco embossed and 3/16” corrugated in lighter gauges. The stucco embossed finish on corrugated sheets reduces glare from sunlight, adds strength and has more potential for masking application fingerprints, scratches, dents and other minor surface blemishes. MOISTURE RETARDERS Painted products are supplied with a 3 mil Polysurlyn® moisture retarder unless specified, (See Moisture Retarder Data Sheet for details).
